What is the CVC?
The California Virtual Campus (CVC) is a systemwide resource for the 116 California Community Colleges (CCCs) that helps more students complete their educational goals by increasing both access to and success in high-quality online courses. The CVC allows students to receive credit—and financial aid—for online courses offered by a different CCC than the one where they take the majority of their classes.
How Does the CVC Work?
The CVC allows students to designate their main institution as a "Home College" and another as a "Teaching College." In order to receive financial aid for units taken at the Teaching College, students must register for those classes using the CVC website.
